Teens Rites of Passage Program

Honoring the Ages and Stages of Life

The Teen Rites of Passage program is designed to assist adolescent girls as they grow and develop into young adulthood. Utilizing the framework developed by our founder, Niambi Jaha-Echols the teens are guided through a 12 week self discovery program led by parents and community volunteers designed to strengthen their cultural awareness and self awareness.

Some of the program goals include assisting the teens develop knowledge of self, increase self esteem and self awareness, foster life long self care practices and support them on the path of discovering their unique purpose.

The teens meet weekly with program advisors for learning and discussion groups and they complete independent study using the Project Butterfly Workbook designed by Niambi Jaha-Echols. Book Link https://www.projectbutterfly.com/books.html
